TRADITION DOES MATTER

It is 1:04 am. and i don't feel sleepy at all.

*cricket sound*

Okay. maybe there are no reader at the moment i write this entry. so, what should i do now? emm..maybe i should write a letter to the future me..

Dear aezu in the future,

                How are you? i hope you are well. if you are reading this, it means you are older than me. well, there are not many things to tell you right now. because this is my first letter type entry, i hope you just read it through, okay?

                Last friday i went to my village in negeri sembilan for the majlis pertunangan of my cousin (female). i feel very very very excited about it because it's the first time i went to that type of majlis. don't pity me. i don't have any opportunity the years before. : (

                During the ceremony i feel proud of myself for being a malay. why? because of the tradition of course. okay. i don't want to write too long for this first letter. so, straight to the point. 

                Aezu, please. when you grow up. please never forget the malay tradition. especially when you are getting married. please don't forget the kompang, the malay's style pertunangan, the baju melayu, the pantun and other.

                Yeah, maybe in the future some of your friends will make you look stupid for such lame malay traditions. but just don't forget. it's in our blood. bare that in your mind. be proud of it, okay? if the japanese can do it, why can't we?

                Whatever person you are in the future just don't forget who you are in the past. never feel too proud of yourself unless you deserve it. i think that's all for now. convey my regards to our beloved parent.
